Hello all,

Well, I have arrived from Lisbon and the least that I can say is… amazing!

I just loved Alfama district: It is amazing as that old part of the city survived to the earthquake. A lot of tiny streets, a “characteristic” architecture where basically, most of times, you need to consult the map (every 30 seconds). I high recommend to visit the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, the main cathedral and of course, the Castle! If possible, do this on a Saturday because you can also go to the flea market. The apartment I have rented with travelingtolisbon company was here, in Alfama!
I have also gone to Bairrio Aulto (it is impossible to pronounce like Portuguese people!!!). It is a good area to go at night! Usually the area is full of young people and foreigners! You will everyone on the street! Good!!
At night it is nice to walk around Baica too! You have a pedestrian area there!
This area is very close to Chiado, more a less a fancy area. An advice: if you like shoes, visit the Foot Locker shop there! Lovely! Here, do not forget to take a big lift. On the top you will see the city! And the elevator also takes you to another monastery.
For last, but you must go: the Belem district. It is the area of the museums and monuments. You have the tower, the palace and more monuments! The gardens around are nice too!
If you go to Lisbon you must go here for sure!
I was also thinking to visit the new area, where is the “Aquarium Exposition”, but I did not have time enough. Bad…but at least I have a reason to go back!

I will definitely visit again, with more time!!!!
